Last week I abandoned the warm comfort of my office and along with Charlie Lockhart and Jonny Harcourt, decided to attempt to drag our creaking frames to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Not only is this a clear sign that our mid life crises are in full swing, but it's also a good opportunity for us to raise money for research into prostate cancer.
A quick dip into Google will show you that it's killing 10,000 people a year, or more precisely, 10,000 men.
My Father has had two difficult encounters with prostate cancer in the last few years and last year my Father-in-law finished his remediation. Wouldn't it be nice if the research into this relatively common cancer would yield a cure for our children or grandchildren.
As you'd expect we're funding the cost of the trip ourselves, so all money goes directly to the charity.
