Hello!

We will be walking across England, following Wainwright's famous 220 mile Coast2Coast walk. We will be doing this to hopefully raise a huge amount of money for Cancer Research. We completed the walk in 15 wet gruelling days, camping everynight bar 1, in which we had to stay in a B n B to prevent us drowning!

We walked from the very west coast of England, starting with our feet in the irish sea at St Bee's, all the way to the east coast at Robin Hoods Bay. Firstly through the lake district, then through the North Pennines, following onto The Yorkshire Dales, and then finally across the North York Moors, finishing when our feet enter the North Sea at the bay.
Please help make our efforts worthwhile, all the money we raise will go direct to Cancer Research UK. We have funded the walk ourselves, i.e camping pitches,food etc... so all the money we raise will go straight to this worthwhile cause. Its a charity that we all feel strongly about, and im sure everybody knows somebody whose lives have been affected by Cancer. We have seen first hand the damage and loss this disease causes, and charities such as Cancer Research are making a difference with new drugs and treatments being made available. However, these cost a huge amount of money, and without donations and pledges from people like you, they wont have the funding to continue their lifesaving research. 

Cancer research is making a difference:

• Thanks to earlier detection and improved treatments, survival rates have improved for nearly all cancers
• Cancer death rates have dropped by 11 per cent over the last ten years
• Breast cancer death rates have fallen by 21 per cent in the last ten years
• More than seven out of ten children with cancer are now successfully treated
• 95 per cent of men with testicular cancer are now cured
• The incidence rate for cervical cancer has decreased by 30 per cent over the last ten years, largely due to screening.

 

However, we all know there is still soooo much work to be done, and the work costs a huge amount of money! Please sponsor us all you can, we'll do the hard work, all you have to do is press that donate button!!
