Story

checkemlads.com survivors and memorial challenge Snowdon walk 16th Aug 2009. Join myself, Steve and Alan white, Antony cotton from corrie,Some of the Shameless production team, Joel Perry from Versuscancer, and some cancer survivors and some wonderfull people who have lost loved ones to cancer. Also Darren couchman, nick O'Hara smith, some of the testicle tour cancer survivors to join us with big fluffy testicles!!. And happy to say that Tim stollery from www.timstollery.com will be with us its in aid of Clatterbridge centre of oncology who helped myself and lots of people who are coming on our walk. To remember those male or female who have died to cancer. Also an awareness walk for survivors who have battled cancer. Meeting place is the car park next to the Snowdon mountain railway in Llanberis at 8.30 am post code for sat nav is LL55 4TY the walk sould take 4 hours up and 3 hours down. Its the longest walk but also the less hard work. its called the Llanberis path. details at http://www.hightrek.co.uk/snowdonia/routes.htm if you would like to bring family who maybe can not get up the mountain, there is a train that goes up the mountain to the top details here http://www.snowdonrailway.co.uk/contact.html to get to Llanberis you need to head up or down the M6 to the m56 or from Mancs head towards manchester airport and get on the m56 and head all the way to the end which takes you into north wales. the motorway turns in to the A55. stay on this road for a good hour untill you get to the to junction 11 AND TAKE B4336 Llanberis. Local hotels can be found in Conwy,Llanberis, landudno or bangor. conwy by the way has a loverly little sea side dock and town with a very famous castle. you must have good walking boots. water proofs that can be stored in a back back. lots of water and high suger food. some warm clothes that can be put away easy in the back pack. there is limited parking by the train station but a few car parks in Llanberis. my email for questions is checkemlads@aol.com
