On 18 June a group of my friends and work colleagues are doing the Moonlight Walk for Action Cancer.  This is our second year doing this walk.  Please sponsor us as Action Cancer are the only charity which screens women for breast cancer from age 40-49 and also 65+. Your doctor won't call you until you are 50. A friend of mine went for screening with Action Cancer when she was 42 and was found to have breast cancer. Luckily for her she was in the very early stages and after an operation and some radiotheraphy she will be okay. She had no signs or symptoms and in fact felt extremely well, she only went to the screening to keep another friend company. This undoubtedly has saved her life as she wouldn't be eligible for NHS screening until she was 50. So please sponsor us for this very worthwhile cause.
