Salut!
With the help of lots of lycra, padding and vaseline, some of us have decided to cycle from London to Paris over a long w/e in August (6-10th). We're organising the event ourselves, an interesting test in itself, which begs the question whether the bike ride or the organising is more challenging!
Intensive training (...and eating and drinking) is underway for what promises to be a fabulous journey to gay Paris! Such tactics will be very handy for acclimatisation purposes once we reach France....this can take months to get right!
I am hoping to raise £2,000 for the London Lesbian and Gay Switchboard (LLGS) for which I volunteer. A charity where Lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans volunteers at LLGS speak to thousands of callers from across the UK, from 10 am to 11 pm every day of the week, every week of the year. From going out to coming out, from gay parenting to being the parent of a gay child, from sexual health to mental health, from falling in love to domestic violence, via homophobia, abuse and bullying. Whatever the call, LLGS is there to provide confidential, non-judgemental support - and we're non-directive, so we don't tell callers what to do.
