Story

Brad Amiee ran the Chicago Marathon on 10 Oct 2010 to raise funds for London's Air Ambulance, in memory of a friend and colleague Fiona Daniels.

Fiona was involved in a road accident in Woodford Green in January, whilst training for her own first marathon.  She was airlifted to hospital but tragically died from her injuries two days later, aged just 29.

London's Air Ambulance is a registered charity whose philosophy is 'to bring the hospital to the patient'.   Since 1990, it has flown over 20,000 missions and can reach any point within the M25 inside 12 minutes.

Despite being such a vital medical resource for all those working and living in the capital, London's Air Ambulance could not operate without charitable donations.

Fiona's good humour and kindness are missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know her.  Thank you for supporting this excellent cause in her memory.

About the charity
