Story

With all the love, time, and effort we put into our food it's definitely best enjoyed slowly...but when we were approached to do a charity burrito eating contest for the NSPCC we thought we could speed things up a bit...at least for a night :-) As you can guess fame and fortune will go to the fastest eater, and all proceeds go to the NSPCC in their mission to Stop Child Abuse.  Prizes for the contest and raffle at the event include a trip for two to Mexico, a bike, and 3 months of free burritos to name just a few! The event will take place on Mexican Independence Day - the 15th September 2009 at Chilango, 27 Upper Street, Islington from 6-9pm. You can show your support by either coming to the event and/or donating here online:

Coming to the event: £10 entrance fee at the door will get you a raffle ticket, burrito and drink and the chance to compete or watch. If you think you got the fastest gun in the west, and want to prove it, then join us as a contestant. Just drop a mail to shannon@chilango.co.uk and we'll put you on the roster. If you're just in it for the laughs and rather watch the plight of our heroic contestants, our doors are wide open. We'll have cool tunes playing the whole evening and £2 beers to quench your thirst. Additional raffle tickets will also be available for £5 each to increase your odds of winning.

Donating online: If you're not able to make it but still want to support the cause and show your support for your favourite contestant then simply donate here online. Tell us who you are supporting in your message:
