Story
"Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page."
"We have successfully completed the Great Wall of China Trek 2010. It was fantastic experience and at times very challenging. Completing this challenge has conquered our fear of heights. We have met some wonderful people who were raising money for different charities. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us with donations and sponsorship.
Louise and Vicki both work at Weston Park Hospital, Louise as a ward sister and Vicki as a secretary. This is a challenge for both of them as neither likes heights but they want to overcome their fear and raise as much money as they can for this excellent charity.
Louise:
I have worked at Weston Park Hospital for the past 10 years and until now I have only done the 5K sponsored walks for the charity. 3 women in my family have recieved treatment in the hospital and I have seen at first hand the valuable work that is done. Having always wanted to do one of these fundraising walks I am now beginning to wish I hadn't mentioned it to Vicki look where we are now !
Vicki:
I have been a cancer patient at Weston Park Hospital, my view on life and its purpose has totally changed. I now work for the hospital as a secretary and want to help the hospital in as many ways as I can. It is my ambition to raise funds for the hospital to help give patients and carers as much care and support as they need. By completing "The Great Wall of China Challenge 2010" I hope that my experience will give hope to others "changing a negative experience into a positive one.
