We fund research into type 1 diabetes to find a cure for type 1 diabetes

Story

My job is to get people to fundraise for JDRF, so I thought it's time I put my money where my mouth is. Or more accurately, put your money where my cheeks are.

If this fundraising page reaches £1,000 by World Diabetes Day 2010 (Sunday 14 November), I will shave.

If it does not reach the £1,000 target, I will not shave and your sponsorship will be accepted as a donation towards the work of JDRF.

JDRF is the greatest charity in the world, so please give as much as you can and see what my beautiful face will look like being clean shaven for the first time in about five years.

UPDATE 24.09.10!
Well, the target has been hit. Thanks to Dave for making the donation to take me over the £1,000 mark, and thanks to everyone else that has donated. It is hugely appreciated by myself and JDRF. I will not be stopping now though! Just because I've hit my fundraising target, it doesn't mean that JDRF need your donations any less. So please keep the money coming in and let's see how much we can raise for this superb cause!

UPDATE 14.11.10! The shave happened yesterday, on Saturday 13 November 2010! I now look like Gareth Chilcott. Photos are on my personal facebook page and the JDRF South West facebook page. Big thanks to Jamie at Backwell Barbers for doing the shave, Yam and Ed for moral support, and everyone who sponsored me! With your help, my fundraising total is currently over £1,400. It would be great to reach £1,500 so if you've not donated yet, please give what you can!
