.On the 17th April 2011 i will be undertaking the daunting but exciting  task of running the Virgin London Marathon on behalf of Nottinghamshire Hospice.

This is a charity very close to my heart as since January 2008 they have been offering palliative care 2 days a week for my mum who suffers with M.S, during this time she has had to battle against cancer and undergo major surgery to her shoulder joint which had been damaged by the cancer and  subsequent treatments.

During this very hardest of times for both my mum and family the one constant has been the care and total support we as a family have recieved from the amazing staff at Nottingham Hospice, which i know has been a great comfort to us all whilst allowing my dad the respite from caring which he needs.

The operating costs of the Hospice currently stand at £2.5 million  a year of which around 30% comes from N.H.S Nottingham and the remaining £1.8 million must be raised through donations, hospice events and sponsored events such as my attempt on the London Marathon!!!

So please please please give as much as you possibly can to such a worthy cause it will make such a difference to so many...
