A short note to thank you all very much for your very generous support .

Shaun McWilliam managed to help me round to the 18 mile mark in under 3 hours and I then  took my time over the last 8.2 miles , to finish in my official time of 4 hours 40 minutes . I am a bit disappointed with my time but thrilled to have managed to run all the way .

A combination of your support , the NY crowd , Shaun and , not to mention , the two horse tablets consumed prior to the start for my knackered old legs , got me round the course .

Believe it or not , I enjoyed every minute of the day , it was a fantastic event . Having said that , am I tempted to run another marathon to better my time ..... highly unlikely !
