Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please sponsor whatever you can no matter how small or large the amount.

I will be participating in the Cardiff Half-Marathon on 19/10/2008 to raise money for Breast Cancer Care

Along with:
   Daniel Newns
   Jamie Fidler
   Owen Hooper

Breast Cancer has had a massive impact of my family's lives. My Grandmother passed away from the illness in 1995 and mother is current suffering from breast cancer for a second time after recovering from the illness in 2007 after a mastectomy.

My mother has and is still recieving the most amazing care from the Breast Cancer nurses and any help you could give towards such a worthwhile cause would be greatly appreciated.

In order for my mother to overcome her first battle with Breast Cancer she underwent an intensive course of Chemotherapy (through which she experienced a complete loss of hair), mastectomy and lymph node removal, after which she underwent a 13 week intensive course of Radiotherapy.

Now in her second fight against the illness she is being tried on a different course of Chemotherapy which is pretty much messing her system up and since the mastectomy she has lost almost all use of her left arm which has swollen to almost twice its normal size.

Without the help of organisation such as Breast Cancer Care my mother would not be here today. If I can raise awareness by competing in a race. Then imagine what sponsoring just a few pounds could do in the lives of Breast Cancer sufferers and their families.Thank you so much for your support.
