Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit Chris and Pat's JustGiving page
Chris Horan and Pat Chicken were captured during the winter of 2009 casting all their cares aside in the snow. It was this wild day out, and their craziness, that inspired them to dog-sledd 200 kilometres across the Arctic in February 2010 in aid of the Alzheimers Society. Close family and friends of both Chris and Pat are affected by the disease. By completing this pretty chilly [rarely above -20c] and very tough challenge, together with your generosity, they aim to raise £6000 for the Alzheimers Society enabling it to provide day and home care and befriending services, reliable and up to date information and a national dementia helpline as well as training for health and care professionals and campaigning for the rights of people with dementia and those who care for them.
