As some of you already know i have decided to take part in the Great North Swim!

I am currently training at 8acre dive site near North Cave and have been going  to the gym regularly to make sure i'm fit enough to not become fish food out there on september 13th!!!

I've chosen two different charities to swim for...Cancer Research and Everyman.

Its so hard having to pick a charity to give to with so many great causes out there, i know at the moment Cancer Research are doing alot of research and funding into Cervical Cancer and the Everyman Charity is set up to fund research into and educate people about male cancers, so its one for 'the girls' and one for 'the boys'

The more money we raise for these charities, the more hope we have of eventually finding a cure for Cancer or at the very least we can raise what could be some life saving awareness of the signs some people may otherwise miss.
