Story
The moral of the story is never believe let alone do anything you read in the Metro!
One morning, bleary eyed, on my way to law school I read about the Prince's Trust Costa Rica Coast to Coast Challenge in the Metro. It was advertised as a great opportunity to push yourself to your physical limit while raising money for an extremely good cause. Interesting I thought but certainly not an appropriate project for someone who was nearly expelled from Bronze Duke of Edinburgh for hitch-hiking! A couple of months and a little persuasion later I find myself fully signed up and ready to go on this challenge of a lifetime.
For those of you that know me I would argue that just the thought of me sleeping in a tent is worth at least a small donation...I am also proud to announce that I have given up driving to the gym - now I walk (its 5 mins away!), a reason surely for an even larger donation and finally, I will also be donating £500 myself which means that a majority of the money donated will be going straight to the Prince's Trust. Sponsor me and thank your lucky stars you will not be the one dealing with my serious sense of humour failure on Day 1 of the expedition!!!
I feel extremely privileged to have been given such great opportunities in life and it is a cause close to my heart to try and raise funds to give other young people similar opportunities so please help me and sponsor me on this crazy challenge. If you want to read more about us, the challenge and the work of the Princes Trust check out www.crossingcostarica.com.
Thank you. Cx
ps. the alternative caption for the photo, recommended by a friend was "Please sponsor me so I can buy more clothes." ..hmmmm
