Thank you for coming to the page. To explain a little more about what we are doing. Back when we were at Durham University a friend of ours died in a car crash. In his name we are going out on this expedition to raise a whole load of cash for a charity chosen by his family and in so doing we are aiming to make a difference to a community, but also to honour his life, in a way he would have chosen to himself. Alex was an outgoing active guy and we think this is exactly the kind of thing he would have participated in.

The money raised here will be sent direct to Advantage Africa. They will use it to make an impact on the communities they serve.

If you would like to give please make a donation here. There are lots of rumours about how justgiving is funded, in fact, justgiving does take some commission for operating the site, however, this is not taken from your donation. It is claimed as a reasonable percentage of the 28p in the pound that Advantage Africa make on top, if you state that you are a UK tax payer and would like to Gift Aid your donation - that is why it is so important that you give those extra details.
