I have been doing the odd jogging about for just over a year now, mainly in an effort to keep relatively fit as I approach the half century in years!

This 10 mile run will be the furthest distance I have run should I complete it, which I have every intention of doing but also in a fairly reasonable time.

I have chosen the Sands charity to run for in memory of our first born son, baby Timothy, who sadly and suddenly died only three days after birth. Timothy would be 22 years old today.

Sands were a great comfort to us at what was a very difficult time, and one cannot explain simply the support they offered.
