The MPS Society provides specialist support to children, adults and families in the UK who are affected by MPS, Fabry and related lysosomal storage diseases and we fund research into treatment and therapies. These diseases are rare, genetic, life-limiting conditions with no cure.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Hi Everyone

I am running /jogging in the London Marathon on the 13th April, for the Society for Mucopolysaccharide Diseases.

Mucopolysaccharide & Related Diseases are multi – organ storage diseases causing progressive physical disabilities and, in many cases, severe degenerative mental deterioration, resulting in death in childhood. One baby born every eight days will be diagnosed with an MPS or Related Disease.

My niece, Sophie, was diagnosed with Sanfilippo disease when she was three. She will shortly be eleven years old and has always required 24 hour care from her loving family. They receive practical support and assistance from the Society; who also promote and support research into these diseases.

Any help you are able to give will be greatly appreciated. The MPS Society is a registered charity.

Thank you

Chris (Woody)

The Society For Mucopolysaccharide Diseases will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
