Story
With less than two weeks to go, we've reached our minimum target - Thanks to all that have been so generous - but let's not stop there...
To raise vital funds for the Youth Cancer Trust, we (Ian, Sarah, Nicky and Amanda), have been challenged to climb the nations three highest peaks, Ben Nevis in the Scottish Highlands, England's Scafell Pike and Snowdon in Wales, all in 24 hours .
Not possible without a helicopter we hear you say! Well apparently it is, and is known as the 3 Peak Challenge which takes place over the weekend of 23rd May 2009.
Our support crew - Darren and Simon, will ensure we get to our locations, (in an MPV not a helicopter), driving through the day and night, and without breaking the speed limit of course! They'll also keep us fed and watered, and they'll even do us a packed lunch to help us complete the task.
As mentioned, we're putting ourselves through this arduous challenge for a brilliant charity the Youth Cancer Trust, which offers young people with cancer the chance to go on a free holiday. They get a break from their treatment and spend time with people going through a similar experience. Please read the info opposite for more information on the charity.
As the Trust gets no government funding every penny we raise really does help. So if you are in a position to help us achieve our fundraising target, no matter how small the donation, there'll be a lot of people who really benefit.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Youth Cancer Trust(uk) Limited gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and if you can please sponsor us now!
