We support those affected by Arthrogryposis to understand the condition and meet others

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hya my name is Clair williams i live in Holywell,North Wales with my husband David Williams and 5 children (1boy & 4 girls) Josh is 12,Chantelle is 10,Dion is 5,Jessica is 3 & Kelsey is 18 months.

Josh was born with a condition called Arthrogryposis and we think Kelsey has got a mild form of it to  the type josh has got is multiple pterygium syndrome (Escobar syndrome), he is affected in all 4 limbs (they dont straighten out at the joints) josh cant raise his arms above his head and he walks in a crouch this can be very hard for him to get around he either uses a k-walker (short distance)or wheelchair, he has clenched fingers and not much movement in his wrists, he has also got rocker bottom feet, and is partialy deaf in both ears, he has got  shortening of his limbs & neck, and also webbing to his neck, legs, arms, fingers & toes & he has a high palate in his mouth,  but this does not stop josh from doing what he likes best, which is where this started

David, myself, josh & chantelle have decided to do a challenge on behalf of The Arthrogryposis Group (TAG)

we as a family have decided to do a sposored walk pushing josh in his wheelchair up a mountain called moel famau on the 31/5/2010

Moel Famau is situated in a country park in a place called mold and is situated between Flintshire & Denbighshire

the jubilee tower on the peak of moel famau was a towrs to commemorate the golden jubilee of George III in 1810,    the remails of the tower are at the highest point in the park and the whole of the clwydian range at 554m (1821ft) high

our goal is to reach the golden jubilee tower via a path pushing josh in his wheelchair

in doing this walk we are proving to ourselfs as a family we can do this, and no matter what you can help other people achieve their goal if you stick together

Josh is doing this to prove to himself and others that you can achieve what you want even if your in a wheelchair if you have help and support off others, and you put your heart and soul in it and stick with it

David and myself have walked up moel famau and its no easy task, but josh wants to do this and we are going to help him

please help us by donating to our cause

many thanks kind regards from Clair & crew
