We support people to help rebuild lives after stroke.

Story

I'm back in training for the Flora London Marathon 2008 and aiming to beat both last year's time and last year's fundraising total.  I am running to raise money for the Stroke Association because 2008 marks the tenth anniversary of my Gran's death from stroke.

Every year, over 130,000 people in England and Wales have a stroke.  Stroke affects people of all ages and is the third most common cause of death in the UK, as well as  the most common cause of severe disability.  The Stroke Association funds research into stroke prevention, treatment and rehabilitation and provides help and support to people and their families who have been affected by stroke.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.  I will be updating this page with a progress report from time to time, but if you would like to follow my marathon journey more closely, please check out my blog: http://www.realbuzz.com/en-gb/blogs/index?pageID=1997&blog=8212

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Stroke Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for visiting my page - your support is enormously appreciated.
