Story
We made it! Me in a respectable 02:02:35, hand-in hand with my “little” brother & Roy in a fabulous 01:47:20. Thank you so much for your sponsorship. It has really encouraged us during this last few weeks of training and it propelled us through Reading on what was, thankfully, a beautiful morning.

In a moment of madness that has since taken up whatever remained of our "spare" time, Roy and I entered the Reading Half Marathon (on Sun 29th March) and are running for Southampton Hospital Paediatrics - Surgery and Nephrology wards.
As most of you know our "baby" boy, Ben, was ill over Christmas and needed [happily what ended up being] minor surgery at Southampton Hospital where Ben, and I, were residents of Surgical Paediatrics (on G4 under Sister Katie Golding) and neighbouring Nephrology.
The hospital offers help and support to families to cope with their child's illness and to help manage their other family responsibilities. Of course we were only there a few days but for those patients and their families who will have a longer stay we hope the money we raise will help make their stay comfortable. It is also a THANK-YOU to the wonderful Drs and Nurses who looked after Ben so kindly.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Southampton Hospital Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
