I shall be participating in the The Sunwalk Newcastle 2009 on Sunday 19th July.  (This was supposed to take place last September but had to be cancelled due to the weather!)  This is a 13.1 mile (Half Marathon) power walk round Newcastle which I complete in a decorated bra!! It is to raise money for a charity called Walk the Walk.  They are grant making charity committed to raising funds for vital breast cancer causes.   One of which is, over the next 5 years Walk the Walk aim to put the Paxman Scalp Cooler; a medical device developed by my father which helps prevent hair loss through the treatment of Chemotherapy, in hospitals throughout the UK, including training for staff and maintenance and as a result enable ALL cancer patients to have the equal opportunity and choice to recieve a treatment that can make a beneficial difference to how well they manage their treatment.
