Not just one challenge but two - I am doing a sponsor SLIM & I am intending to loss 2 stone by the 26 November 2007 BUT if I don’t loss the 2 stone I will shave my hair off. This how much I need your help.
Secondly I'm taking part in the THE BEN NEVIS CHALLENGE. On the 28/11/2007 I will climb Britain's highest mountain the Ben Nevis, in the Scottish Highlands to raise money for UCKG HelpCentre and would really, really need your help.
Why?
We need to raise £1.6million that's BIG - my friend. For 10 years our Peckham HelpCentre has been more than a church to me, I have walked through the doors 3/4 years ago thinking that my life would never change - I was severely depressed, suicidal and loneliness was slowly killing me. Then going to the HelpCentre through prayers & advice - my self-confidence grow and now I can climb any mountain once I have overcome the challenges in my life. I look at my life some times and laugh because I could not even imagine not in my wildest of dream would I have though my life could be & is like it is today. Thank God. Enough of Me, it's about you.
Every year thousands of people find hope and help to overcome their problems and rebuild their lives just like me or you can if you need the help. From our building we assist families that have broken down; provide counselling and advice seven days a week; run a Sunday School & lead a youth group for young men and women. Just a few activities the Helpcentre provides.
By Buying the building, we can be able to continue and improve many other services & also provide a much-needed, new Youth Centre. New projects will be training and life skills. These projects will put Peckham in the headlines for all the right reasons.
