In September a team of us that are made up of Police Officers and PCSO’s are embarking on the Coast to Coast mountain bike ride through the Lake District and Cumbria following Wainwright's famous route. The route is 210 miles long and we are planning on doing this over 4 days. The route will all be off road requiring us to cycle over mountains and through valleys. Each of us in the team is working hard on fitness and although the ride will be completed in 4 days (I hope!) the preparation is months long.

 

The charity we are doing this for is the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air ambulance. We regularly work closely with this charity on serious RTC's and other incidents and they do rely on fundraising for their funding. They provide an amazing service and save lives on a daily basis which could be any of us or someone close to us at any time.
