Firstly welcome and thankyou for stopping by.

My name is Colin. There are many reasons for this. Both my Mum and Dad lived with Epilepsy throughout their lives. They both met in 1973 while they were both residents being cared for at the Epilepsy Society Centre at Chalfont in Buckinghamshire, England. In 1978 Mum and Dad married and moved to their own home in East Sussex, England. Two years later in October 1980 I was born.

Life was not without its difficulties. It may seem at this point I am missing aspects and taking a big leap through time. I am doing this out of dignity and respect. The following will explain why.

1992 was a year of tragic circumstances. On January 28th of that year Dad passed away due to the Diabetes he also suffered with. Mum returned to The Epilepsy Society Centre shortly afterwards to be cared for again. Just seven months later on 27th August Mum tragicly passed away due to SUDEP. 

1992 will always be a year of sadness, but looking back to the music of that time, it is appropriate that the biggest song of that year was I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston.

It has been asked at times if I also have Epilepsy. The answer to this is no I do not. I always said I would do something in Mum and Dads memory. That dream became a reality in 2010 when I ran the first ever Brighton Marathon on the south coast of England, and ive taken part in and finished every Brighton Marathon since. Including a trip to Scotland to run the Edinburgh Marathon in 2011. The full run down to date looks like this....
