Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

So what's this all about then? Well, Paul Dagg, General Manager of the ODEON Cinemas Hull and Leeds-Bradford, and his dad Colin, will be taking part in the Great North Run on September 20th on behalf of ODEON's official charity, the NSPCC. The Great North Run is a half-marathon - 13.1 miles from Gateshead to South Shields.

...but before attempting that madness, they're also going to have a go at the Great Yorkshire Run, a 10k in Sheffield two weeks beforehand from outside the ODEON to Hillsborough and back - so in effect all of you wonderful sponsors are getting two for the price of one!

*STOP PRESS*

We did it! Well, sort of...

Colin has torn ligaments in his ankle AND fractured a bone in his ankle so unfortunately couldn't take part in either of the events - but he did provide fantastic moral support (and babysitting expertise) for Paul from the sidelines at both events!

Paul completed the Great Yorkshire Run in 00:49:50 on Sunday 6th September and the Great North Run in 01:59:32 on Sunday 20th September, cheered on by family, friends, and NSPCC's TeamGo supporters who were all fantastic.

SPECIAL MENTION - A massive thank you to Sandip Chauhan of Jani King who amazingly matched the £115.00 raised via the charity car wash at Leeds-Bradford with his own donation. For more information on Jani KIng please visit http://www.ask-janiking.com/
