Story

Hello you,

I'm going to be running the Paris Marathon on the 11th April. By then, media interest in the ongoing problems in Haiti following the earthquake (which is likely to have killed 200,000 people) will probably have pretty much dried up. Unfortunately, the situation in Haiti is still extremely precarious. Millions of people are living in squalid makeshift camps, and the approaching rainy season will exacerbate the already serious threat of a malarial epidemic.

The money you donate to the DEC appeal through this site will help the survivors of the earthquake in an extremely direct and valuable way, through the provision of essential items such as latrines, mosquito nets, food, water and basic shelter. These items will save lives.

Thanks for your support. Have a read of the information below about gift aid.
