Story
Hi folks,
Thanks for visiting my page, I've done a couple of half marathons of the last few years and with Neil staying over in New York thought might as well enter the New York Marathon this year. My first and probably last one, looking forward to it but be glad when its over. The 5am starts and 3 hour runs after work are taking there toll. But now up to 21miles with 5 weeks to go so if all goes well I'm just about on course to make it! Hopefully in one piece.
Normally hate asking folks for sponsors but the effort I've put in for this run I don't mind this time. Wasn't sure who to raise money for but the story of ex solider Mike Buss (the guy on the treadmill) inspired my to run for Help For Heroes - he raised over £100,000 this year running 3 marathons a day for a week! An extraordinary feat!
Makes my 26.2miles around queens, the bronx, harlem and manhattan sound like a doddle! . . . we'll see.
Thanks for anything you donate - the money goes towards practical and direct support to wounded British soldiers, I will hopefully reach my target of £500 by the time I've run in November. Its work, eat, sleep and run until then, I'll keep you updated with my progress.
Thanks again for the support folks, I'm off a run!
Cheers
Craig
