Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. In October 2005 our beautiful little girl Caitlin was diagnosed with a rare and life threatening illness known as Aplastic Anaemia. That day our lives were changed forever.
For almost 3 months, my wife Sarah and I lived on the childrens cancer ward at Alder Hey Hospital Liverpool. During this time we met some amazing children and families and learned so much about ourselves and life in general. Sadly on 3rd February 2006 Caitlin died in the intensive care unit at Alder Hey.
CLIC Sargent is a childrens cancer charity which helps families and children with cancer. In the UK 10 children are diagnosed with cancer every day. These Families and children need all the help and support they can get. Like our family, their lives will also change forever.
My mission between now and April 2008 is to raise a minimum of £3000 for the CLIC Sargent charity and help children with cancer and their families. I am taking part in the Great North Run ( 13 miles ) on 30th September 2007 and the London Marathon on 13th April 2008.
I have no plans to dress up in a giant panda outfit, although I guess everything has a price !
Please, dig deep and pledge as much as you can afford. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: CLIC Sargent will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
