I'm trekking part of the Great Wall of China in May 2009 in aid of Alzheimer's Society and I'd really appreciate your support.  Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading care and research charity for people with dementia and those who care for them.

Over 700,000 people in the UK have dementia.  More than half have Alzheimers disease.

1 in 3 older people will end their lives with a form of demetia.

Dementia is one of the main causes of disability later in life, ahead of cancer, cardiovascular disease and strokes.

In less than 20 years over 1 million people will have dementia soaring to 1.7 million by 2050.
