<p><!--StartFragment-->A lifelong ambition of mine is to run a marathon. On 19th September 2010 I completed the 30th Great North Run and figured with a bit more training I would be able to give a marathon a go.</p> <p>Looking around at various marathon events I finally decided to enter the <a href="http://www.parismarathon.com/">Marathon De Paris on Sunday 10th April 2011.</a>&nbsp;It's a great <a href="http://www.parismarathon.com/marathon/2011/docs/Parcours2010.pdf">course</a> and should be not only enjoyable but full of famous landmarks.</p> <p>I got my place and will be raising money for the Butterwick Hospice in Bishop Auckland. <span style="color: #ff0000;">Be assured that I'll be going to France at my own expense so <span style="text-decoration: underline;">every penny</span> donated will go to the Butterwick Hospice</span>.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Butterwick Hospice provides compassionate care free of charge to people over the age of 18 and their loved ones from its Hospices in Stockton on Tees and Bishop Auckland.
