WE DID IT!!!!

We completed the race in 5:26, a PB time for me and I ran a PB for the first half!!!!

I could never have got through the training and the race itself without the support from Mark. He deserves a medal just for being the World's Most Patient husband!!!

Thank you for all your donations, your messages of support meant a great deal, thank you so much.

Abi and Mark - 2012 London Marathon Finishers! xxx

Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page. Please take a few minutes to read why we are running in the 2012 Virgin London Marathon.

Mark's story: "Multiple Sclerosis has been a part of my life ever since my teens. My dad was diagnosed with MS nearly 25 years ago, he was an incredibly fit and healthy man, who was always working, whether that was his secular job or toiling away in the garden. He was a proper bloke!

However, as his MS progressed, he started to deteriorate, and progressed from elbow crutches to being in a wheelchair within a short space of time. It was hard to see such a strong man slowly become weaker until finally, he could only move one hand and was utterly dependent on others for 24 hour care.

Dad spent the last 4 years of his life in a nursing home where his dry humour and infectious laugh made him very popular - he was a terrible tease to those poor nurses but they were very fond of him!

Dad died on 1st January 2010 and once more, I am dedicating this marathon to the man I am so proud to call my dad."

Abi's story: "Multiple Sclerosis has been a part of my life ever since I met Mark. His dad was a very brave man who I loved immensly, we miss him very much.

Losing Terry was hard enough, but just a few months later, my own dad became dreadfully ill with a rare virus which attacked his immune system. It was no small irony when the hospital queried whether he had a particularly aggressive form of MS. After five harrowing and distressing weeks in intensive care he died on 18th November 2010.

We could not believe that we had lost the two most important men in our families and especially for our son, who lost both his beloved grandad's in such a short space of time.

I hate running and I hate running marathon's more, but this one is for my dad, a truly wonderful man who I miss more each day."

PLEASE show your support and help us to raise as much as possible for MSRC, a fantastic charity who do so much in supporting anyone affected by MS.

Thanks for your support and thank you for thinking of Terry and Bill - sadly missed but never forgotton.

Mark and Abi xx
