As some of you know I am currently training for two half marathons this coming October. One I am running for the fun of it (yes I am mad) and the other to raise money for the Shooting Star Children's Hospice.

I have chosen to raise money for this particular charity as over the last year it has played a big part in my nephew's life. Very sadly, my nephew Khalil was born with a very rare condition and the hospice has been instrumental in helping the whole family with respite care.

The support, care and facilities that the hospice provide are truly amazing and  completely free. The hospice relies entirely upon voluntary fundraising and donations to raise the £2.5 million each year they need to maintain their vital care service provision.

Any donation woud be very gratefully welcome and will certainly be going to a very worthwhile cause.
