The 49th Newcastle (The Borderers) is a growing Scout Group based in Fenham (Newcastle upon Tyne) offering exciting, adventurous and challenging activities for young people aged between 6 and 14. They are at the heart of the community in Fenham and are genuinely changing the lives of young people in the area, through friendship and adventures.

This year Ben and I are running the Great North Run to raise money to support the 49th, to allow them to offer more amazing opportunities to young people, and to say thank you for the brilliant times that Wilf and Ted have had at Beavers and Cubs.
