Weʼve raised £530 to help send two scouts from the 9th Leicester Scout Group to attend the 24th World Scout Jamboree to be held in West Virginia USA

Story
We are raising money to help two scouts (Aidan Patterson and Oliver Hames) from the 9th Leicester Scout Group (registered Charity No. 521738) attend the 24th World Scout Jamboree to be held in West Virginia in Summer 2019. The cost per scout to attend is just over £4000. As part of their fundraising the boys and their families have been making and selling jam, washing cars, car booting and hosting an afternoon tea for the jamboree and a curry night.
For their next fundraiser, they aim to complete the Tour de Leicestershire. They will attempt to cycle at least 30 miles of Leicestershire countryside on Saturday 15th September 2018. Please give generously.

6 years agoSo yesterday was the big day. The boys totally smashed their target of 30 miles and completed a 59 mile route of the Tour de Leicestershire! 6 years agoOne week to go and training has not been going well for Aidan and me. 5 miles into a 25 mile training run last weekend. His chain snapped! But we are pressing on and had a good run today. Onward to next weekend. I think we should be ok provided there are enough tea and cake stops!
