Many of you will know that my Mum Rosemary MacAllister passed away on Good Friday this year. She had fantastic care within the ITU Unit at Kirkcaldy Victoria Hospital. We, as a family, also had great care from all the staff.

We had been allocated a "family room" for the duration of time that mum was there. This gave us the time and privacy to come to terms with the decisions that we would later have to make. Had we wished to stay overnight there was a fold-down bed settee in the room. There was also the simple things like tea and coffee available if we wanted it. The rooms, even with TLC are now starting to become a little tired and in need of painting/redecorating. The arms on the bed settee were showing signs of wear and tear.

In memory of my mum, and in gratitude to the staff within the ITU Department, we as a family are looking to raise money through participating in the Great Scottish Run ( Glasgow Half Marathon) on Sunday 30th September 2018.
