Robin Edwin Roberts was a lovely, kind man with so many excellent qualities. He was much loved by family and friends and we will miss him enormously. So, how does a memorial in his honour sound?

He may not have had children of his own, but he did really - we were all 'his'. He was fun to spend time with and was always interested in what we were up to. He loved children playing and always liked to be useful, so a bench for children and carers near a play area or in a park seems like a fitting memorial.

We had thought of either the Bunny Park or Walpole Park as he spent a lot of time in both of these, but this may not be possible - it's up to Ealing Council and we haven't had a response yet. Cuckoo Park (around the community centre which used to be a school), Hanwell FC or Bishops Park in Fulham are other possibilities. If you have any other ideas, please put them in your comments or let us know separately. Whatever we raise will be put to good use, in his name, and we'll let you know.

Ealing Council costs a park bench with plaque at £1,450 so we have a bit to raise, but he's worth it. Please dig deep, pass it on to others and we'll get there. Thanks very much.
