On 25th May I will be slogging it through the night walking from London to Brighton in memory of Ellie Thornton, raising money for The Ellie Thornton Foundation.
The Ellie Thornton Foundation is a charitable organisation, established in 2017 by Ben and Vicky Thornton in memory of Ellie Georgia Thornton, aged 11, who died, after she was involved in a road traffic accident in West Sussex, as she walked to school in March 2017.

Ellie was an extraordinary girl who loved life and having fun, engaging anyone in conversation and was compelled to help children who did not have the same opportunites as she did.

The Foundation has been set up to champion what was important to her, and what is important to her family in her name.
The Foundation aims to:
- Provide financial support for "Ellie Days" for families who may struggle to acheive fun days out for their children due to illness or incapacity.
- Champion advocacy for and interventions to support, Road Safety for Children travelling to and from School.
- Support initiatives to help parents bereaved by the loss of a child.
