The OSCAR Foundation is an Indian based non-profit organization that, through football, instils the value of education and empowers underprivileged children from the slum of Mumbai with life skills to take responsibility and succeed in their communities.

Ashok Rathod, along with two other founding members, started The OSCAR Foundation in 2006. OSCAR runs a unique programme that not only teaches sport to children and youth but also helps them to understand the value of education. Currently they work with 3000 children and we are proud to say that nearly 1000 of those are girls. If it weren’t for OSCAR a lot of these girls would be child brides, need to resort to drugs or prostitution or be doomed to a life of poverty. The OSCAR foundation really gives them a way out.

In October the UK representatives are taking care of a group of young Indian girls who are touring to the UK to play in a number of football games, share their culture and learn about our culture.

I am really passionate about spreading equal opportunities and for these girls this trip is truly life changing and hopefully when the girls return home after their experience they can inspire their own community so please help me sponsor these girls in a once in a lifetime opportunity.
