We adopted three children ( all at once!) 17 years ago and have had an eventful time with them as they have grown up. We now have three very capable and confident children but they do still carry their history with them and this can be hard for them at times.

I have become passionate about helping people to understand the issues and difficulties that adopted and fostered children struggle with and am wanting to publish a series of books about how it feels to be adopted. I have used Bertie Bear for my stories as he has been on the journey through adoption with my children. He is a much loved bear in our family and it seems right that it is him who tells the stories.

I run training courses for teachers/ carers/police and other social care professionals and I would very much like my Bertie Bear series to be an integral part of my training.

I have eventually found a publishing company who I feel is in tune with the sentiment behind my books ( this is very important ) and they are asking for a part payment of £2,500 towards the cost of publication. Can you help Bertie and me to spread the word about adoption?
