Story
Burt Moore (’Bertie’) our friend and colleague suddenly passed away on 16th April 2019 aged 59. In the 34 years that he worked in our service he made many friends and will be deeply missed. He was charming, hard working , generous and cheeky. He left an impression on everyone he met and his smile was infectious. He has left our office a sombre place full of heavy hearts.
We would like to raise £1000 towards a memorial bench in his name to be placed in the borough that he lived and served in where people can go to reflect and remember him.

5 years agoI am pleased to update that Burts bench has had the plaque fitted. It will eventually be upgraded when ‘Royal Docks’ install new benches along the waterside. Burts bench is next to Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road, E16 2QU near to the DLR station (Royal Albert). The bench has a beautiful peaceful view of the water and airport. For old and current work colleagues - we will at some point have a meet up at the bench and drinks after, i will be in contact once arranged. Any left over funds will be donated to charity in his name. Thank you all x
