Weʼve raised £385 to Running the Manchester 10K run with my nephew Steven Lomas in aid of Bwindi Orphanage in Uganda.

Story
John Katutsi was so affected by the homeless children in Nteko, Uganda, that he decided to build an orphanage and free school, which is so desperately needed. Orphaned due to poverty or Aids, many children are living on the street, with the dangers that poses. I became friends with John on Facebook, heard his story, and was so affected by his story that I promised to help him raise funds. The money will go towards clearing a plot of land and start the foundations to the orphanage building.

5 years agoHello everyone. It is just over two months since I did the sponsored run, and raised a wonderful £385.00 by doing it( full total £700 with local sponsor forms). The money came in so useful, and shutters and doors have been fitted, plus some desks made. Thank you everyone who donated, I hope to do the same in May next year.

5 years agoI am running the 10Km Manchester run in May with my Nephew Steven,to raise funds to build an orphanage in a poor area of Uganda. Please support our efforts,on behalf of homeless children. In a poor area of South West Uganda, where children are without homes, school, or enough to eat, a Orphanage and school is desperately needed. Some of the poor children are Batwa or pygmys, from families removed from the Bwindi Forest when it became a National Park.
