Story
Some people have a "face for the radio"...well, I have a body for walking, maybe driving. Certainly not for running. I'm also pretty lazy when it comes to keeping fit. Fat Dad, Robbie calls me. A lot.
So, a marathon is a big deal for me. Training has long past reached the agonising stage, with weekly long runs exceeding 25km, and 500km under my belt in total. I've not quite been in tears yet, but I have cried out loud a few times towards the end of a run, scared a few Grannies. My left leg is also falling apart....the sub-zero Scottish temperatures haven't exactly helped either! Only a few days to go now though, and I've bought the flights so I can't back out either. Disappointingly my body shape hasn't changed much...Mo Farah i'm not. I still look like i've eaten Mo Farah.
I wasn't going to do sponsorship, but if I can contribute towards the funds for new kit and equipment for our 7 year olds, why not? Spartans FC also do a lot for local kids, for instance feeding those who don't get fed at home, so 50% the money raised will go towards that.
ps £5 or £10 is more than enough, if you can manage...
Cheers!
ps check this out, knackered just watching it!
