We are a small team of three, Charlotte, Mandy and Claire. We are trying to raise as much money as we can to support us through the Wimbledon half Marathon on the 28th October. We are hoping to run the 13 miles for a very special young Lady who suffers from a very rare disease. Isabel was diagnosed with Late infantile battens disease in April 2014. Since her disagnosis she has lost a lot of major skills, Isabel is no longer able to control bodily movement, eat, talk, see and now sit in a upright position for longer than three hours due to chronic lung problems.

Isabel is now sadly on the path to the end of her life. This is heartbreaking to the people that love and care for Isabel, her parents have devoted their lives to ensure that Isabel has a good quality of life and that they make as many memories as possible with their eldest daughter Isabel. Isabel also has 2 younger brothers, a 4 year old and 1 and a half year old. By doing the half marathon we are hoping to raise enough money to create a special area in Isabels garden as a place the family are able to spend time together and create more memories as the family they are today. But also a space they have to go to in the future to remember their Isabel and talk about the wonderful times they‘ve had as the amazing family they are today.

The garden has always been a very special place to Isabel, to raise money for this seems so very fitting.
