Well, it’s been quite a year, dear friends you will know,

But being truthful and strong our family bond has grown

To celebrate today as one happy family

For us all to be together and celebrate so happily

Many sacrifices have had to be made

To make this a very special day

We don’t want gifts, we have all we need,

The one thing we can’t afford is time

Hence, we have written this little rhyme

We’d love to take the children away

On a ‘time together’ holiday

So instead of a gift of material things

We’d love a little help to fulfil the kids dreams

Any spare pennies or pounds you have

Would be appreciated and accepted with love

A holiday, a break, a time to relax

With the people we love the most, the sun on our backs

We’d love to share this time with you

And show you what you’ve helped us do
