Story
CYCLE4PINK
Our late mother, Marjorie Williams, lived in England and worked as a Social Worker in the London Borough of Hackney for many years; before retiring to Jamaica.
Our mum was a devout Christian and her passion of caring for those in need continued through her various church duties. She was diagnosed with something no one should have to see their loved one endure - Breast Cancer. As an active member of the Coke Methodist Church community, she continued to be involved in many projects to raise funds for her Church; despite having to go through chemotherapy. Sadly our mum passed away before she was able to raise enough funds to enable her Church to carry out essential repairs and buy the much needed resources.
We have come together in memory of our mum and friends of Coke Methodist Church, in the hope we can raise the much needed funds the Church desperately requires. This Just giving page has been opened for a limited time, in the hope we can use this platform to raise funds awareness of our cause. We will be cycling 35 miles from Redbridge to Southend on Sunday 23rd June 2019. All the cyclists will be wearing pink as a reminder of the importance of being Breast Cancer aware. If you see us en route please cheer us along.
We humbly ask for the following
1) A donation towards our cause. No amount is too small. All money raised will be donated to the Coke Methodist Church.
2) Share on Social Media #cycle4pink
3) Spread the word - email this page to your family and friends.
We thank each and every one of you in advance for your support.
