Story
Last December a very special person, Jessica Leigh Holbrook, sadly lost her relatively short life to sepsis. Jess lived life to the full and would have turned 24 on 17 August. So, as a fitting tribute and with her family's blessing, because she was a member of Barnsley Premier Leisure, attendee of community Zumba/Dance classes and a regular Barnsley FC supporter, we are planning a fun retro Aerobics and Zumba style fitness event in her memory. The date is the evening of FRIDAY 21st SEPTEMBER at Royston Leisure Centre Civic Hall, dress code is 80s/90s, football shirts or just bright colours and charities who will benefit are Sepsis Trust and Barnsley Hospital Tiny Hearts Appeal for the special care baby unit. The donation to the event will be £5.00 to be collected on the night and there will be a raffle and also an auction of a retro Barnsley FC signed football shirt. As well as her friends and family it would be fab to see some of the old gang who often danced with her, however, absolutely anyone is welcome, no experience necessary and the bar will be open afterwards so we can raise a glass in her memory. More details will follow soon, until then please let us know if you'd like to take part and spread the word, your support would be greatly appreciated on the night or by donating to this page. Thank you!
