I am taking on 26.2 miles that make up the Liverpool Marathon on Sunday May 26th. I am not a runner, most certainly not at marathon distance thats for sure. Training has been demanding, but I am hoping to finish in one piece with your help.

I am running in memory of my Cousin Craig and the Surya Project that my Aunty Elaine is setting up.

I have taken on Craig’s motto of “Everything is Temporary“ and slighlty adapted it to “Pain is Temporary“. Please help me through the dark stages of the marathon so we can ensure others can cope with the dark stages of life. Help us spread love & light. Any amount of donation and words of support will help ALOT & will be deeply appreciated.

Our intention is to find and create a space of light and love, hopefully in India. This was somewhere Craig loved and felt home in, and we'd like to provide somewhere here that people could spend some time and feel the same. A place to share Craig’s powerful ideals and passions with the world. An inspiring and creative environment, for people to explore and enrich their physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

At the centre of this space would be a yoga shala, offering yoga classes, courses and a variety of holistic therapies. We’re thinking to provide yurts, camping space - accommodation of some sort ; Eventually open a permaculture kitchen/cafe and a creative shop; and build and sustain a vibrant community space where we could host everything from live music to inspirational talks.

We’d also like to incorporate other aspects of Craig’s love of life: his sense of adventure and passion for the arts. Working with the local community will be a focus, so we could offer guided tours and treks in the Himalayas, and provide a bike rental service for the more adventurous. We will build a skatepark. As well as an art and photography gallery, we’d hope to provide studio space for visitors to use and host a variety of creative workshops. Central to the photography gallery would, of course, be Craig’s own powerful work.

Ultimately the Surya project is a labour of love, and would hopefully bear testament to the profound impact Craig had on the many people blessed to know him. We’d appreciate any help in making this dream a reality.
