Jack is required to take part in fundraising activities for Scouts in order to raise money to pay for outdoor activities on an upcoming trip he is going on. He has taken part in a few fundraising events but determined to set himself a challenge, he decided to climb the Innaccesible Pinnacle on Skye. He scaled the Mountain at the weekend, the day before his 14th birthday. I think he found it quite scary and intimidating. We believe in this because the fundraising efforts give the kids a great sense of belonging in the community, a sense of achievement and sets them challenges that they may not normally be open to.
